Pour the champagne and get ready to party!

Edna and Alexandria Posada, owners of Leona boutique and online store, along with their staff will be hosting a fun filled and much-anticipated Leona Launch Party on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 5:30 p.m.

Leona is a contemporary women’s clothing and accessories boutique located in McAllen next to Spa La Posada. Leona caters to the sophisticated woman who knows how to pull it all together in a creative and stylish way.

“Our guests are going to love the fabulous accessories we bring in and the way they can wear our clothing from "work to cocktails” which is something very important to the Leona woman,” added the mother-daughter duo.

As part of the grand opening celebration, Leona will donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to Mujeres Unidas, an organization dedicated to providing shelter and support services to victims of domestic violence and and their families.

“We wanted to get Mujeres Unidas involved because we believe it’s important to help a charity that supports local women that find themselves in a position where they can’t support themselves nor their children,” Edna said. “All of us shop for clothes, so we thought it was the perfect way for women to shop, have fun, and know that they are helping someone” added Alexandria.

Posada and her daughter/business partner Alexandria have a stylish and entertaining evening planned for their guests. To start off the event, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of the new boutique.

“We're having a fabulous style style show with models that personify what a Leona woman is. All of them are actually Leona customers and some of them are Mujeres Unidas board members,” said Alexandria.

El Divino restaurant and L & F Distributors have donated some of the beverages while the food will be some of the staff’s own creations and favorites. Live music will be provided. Plus, VIP guests will receive an exclusive gift personally picked out by Edna and Alexandria on their latest visit to market.

“We wanted to give our VIP customers, the ones that have been with Spa La Posada for many years and have helped sustain our business, something very special,” said Edna. “They will be in for a treat. For many that don’t know, we have had a boutique at Spa La Posada for 9 years, but this year, it was our goal to take the boutique, rebrand it, and launch it as a stand alone store.”

Edna and Alexandria are both excited to welcome their guests to Leona.

“We want them to meet our staff and see the fabulous clothing and accessories that we have so they will feel confident and comfortable shopping our online store www.leona.style when they’re looking for something special,” said Edna. “Having been in our store, they'll learn about the quality and variety of stylish pieces that we carry.”

Alexandria added, “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to bring great fashion to all women in a boutique setting so that they have unique pieces not found elsewhere.”
